Pretzel Crusted
Fish Tacos
-
Tilapia, cod or any firm white fish cut into strips like fish sticks
-
3/4 cup flour mix in 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 tbs paprika, 1 tbs onion powder, 1 tbs chimichurri seasoning or any other dry herbs you like.
-
2 beaten eggs with a few drops of hot sauce (optional)
-
2 + cups crushed pretzels
Ingredients:
-
1 avocado
-
2 tablespoons Mexican crema or plain greek yogurt juice of one lime
-
2 tablespoons cilantro
-
1/2 serrano pepper or one jalapeño salt to taste
-
a couple of tablespoons of water for consistency
Avocado Cream:
Toppings:
-
Avocado crema
-
red cabbage
-
radishes
-
cilantro
-
lime juice
Method:
Coat the fish sticks with flour, then egg, and finally crushed pretzels. In a shallow pan coat the bottom with avocado or vegetable oil and fry them at medium heat, so they don’t burn.
Make avocado crema by blending all ingredients until desire consistency. Have all your toppings ready. Build up your tacos with your choice of tortillas; I prefer corn tortillas, add a couple of fish sticks plus all your toppings. Enjoy!
